I asked myself, can this really be that good? I mean, it’s just breathing, right?
I joined one of Wim Hof’s courses years ago and didn’t experience anything. I tried again with Wim, and I didn’t experience anything again! But the third time…
Initially, my inner voice was skeptical, questioning why I was there again and dismissing it as nonsense. But by the end, Wim's voice and the music silenced my doubts. The experience intrigued me and shifted my perspective.
Before this, I was a strength and conditioning coach for elite athletes and the media manager for Westside Barbell, the world’s strongest gym by the legendary Louie Simmons. Working there was a dream come true, but coaching athletes exposed me to their mental struggles—fear, anxiety, and the pressure before competitions. I knew these well, having grown up in fear myself.
This journey led me to learn from the strongest and most resilient, from Louie Simmons to kickboxing coach Lucien Carbin. I discovered that the mental aspect of performance is paramount, making up 80% of any martial art. I also delved into the teachings of Cus D’Amato, Mike Tyson’s legendary coach, learning invaluable lessons on fear.
Traveling the world to understand the mind, I honored every coach and experience, combining biomechanics with the spiritual. That last breath with Wim Hof bridged the gap between fear and my relationship with it. Now, fear and I are friends. Breathwork reignited my passions for filmmaking, music, and even salsa dancing.
Today, I lead workshops globally, host events, work with James Nestor, author of Breath, Wim Hof, and speak at events like Julien Himself’s Europe Tour. I coached thousands of people, online and offline. Ranging from world champion athletes to children, from Parkinson’s patients to hip replacement patients. This is my life now and I love it.
Let’s breathe together.
